“Valence’ is one of Cora Sheibani’s more abstracted collections, comprising geometric shapes and lines as opposed to the largely graphic elements which characterise much of her later work.“
The ‘Valence Plus’ collection incorporates large faceted gemstones such as bi-coloured ametrines, tourmalines, tanzanites, amethysts, beryls and spinels were deployed as the centrepiece of the design.
“I realised you could set quite big gemstones in a pendant or earrings that are easy to wear and it’s actually quite magical that you can create volume and interest without adding much weight.”
